video - malayalam is basically tamil + sanskrit so we have lots in common - my sister actually speaks / understands tamil although I haven't been able to figure it out yet. there's scope for confusion because the word for 'hang' in malayalam means 'sleep' in tamil - thoongu.

anonymous - danke... um, best luck and good wishes in deutsch?

Yea i know abt mallu being a mix between tamil and sankrit. Some people are bent on proving that tamil is from sankrit too. I dont share their opinions. I can understand malayalam as well, but there are certain dialects of malayalam that i cannot understand. I suppose it's vice versa as well. "thoogu" in tamil is "sleep". "Thongu" means "hang". In tamil "thoo" and "tho" are totally different letters. Depends on how you say it.

video - ok... just when my b-in law said it it sounded the same as the malayalam 'hang' and I was shocked... why would he want to hang himself? Tamil clearly does not come from sanskrit... the grammar is totally different. I think tamil has some loan words from sanskrit, but there ends the similarity.

visitor - thanks, slaves and queen / princes and princesses.
