Marriage Profile

There's been a rash of weddings and engagements involving people I know. Since I'm older than most of them I feel that the time may be coming soon for me as well. Unfortunately due to my being an ineligible bachelor (student, no job, poor dress sense, immaturity, lack of sporting ability, read more blog posts for confirmation), my chances are fairly poor.

And then it hit... girls love to hang out with Ginga. Something about him attracts women of all types and ages. So, I decided to put up a singles profile of Ginga here instead of shaadi.com or eharmony. I figure that the Ginga fans will eventually show up.

I am an outdoor kind of guy. I love hiking, running, wrestling, mountain climbing and picnics. I am kind hearted and have an special fondness for little furry creatures such as rabbits and squirrels. I am very progressive. I love helping out in the kitchen while cooking. Unfortunately I cannot be the main chef because there may not be any food left for anyone else. I don't mind if the food is cooked, uncooked, 10 days old or laying outside for 2 weeks, as long as it is not dog food. I love my family, especially my brother BooBoo. He is older than me and taught me how to recycle (why my daddy throws good food away in the big bin and forbids me to eat it?) That reminds me, I love nature so much that whenever I am outside I fertilise trees and shrubs many times. This makes me happy. I also protect leaves from being eaten by my friends the rabbits. During this process the rabbits get their monthly excercise so they remain healthy. They look so happy after they get on the other side of the fence, I think they are thanking me for the excercise. Greenpeace should invite me to be a member of their society due to my contributions to the plant and small animal life of Lafayette.

My family
I live with my daddy Ranjit and brother BooBoo and my uncle Lova and aunty I-mei. I have a vacation home at my aunty the Doc's house. I also have a half-sister who I don't get along with very well (the cat Cleo). She lives with my uncles GSL and GG (gentle giant).

The only negative thing
My daddy comes with me as part of the package. This is non-negotiable. He takes up little space, is grateful for small luxuries, can sleep on the couch. He will vaccuum the house and take me outside for walks and runs. He does like to have internet so he can blog about me. He listens well and doesn't talk a lot. You don't have to see him much because he loves to work in lab till late.

My daddy is somewhat uncivilised, could do with gentle handling to lead him away from video games, wearing bleach stained non-matching clothes to work, and refusing to get a haircut or shave regularly. He also has to be weaned away from thinking that the only jewelry worth buying should have capabilities of playing mp3s, taking photographs or some other technological mumbo-jumbo.

Park the LIly

Ginga, BooBoo and Lily enjoyed a little play time at the park today.

BooBoo the rabbits are going to hear you coming a mile away if you run over dry leaves like that!

Ginga and Booboo played a little together, Lily started following BooBoo around as usual. Lily didn't like any of the treats I had, except at the very end when she was hungry enough to eat the GingaBoo doggie food. Of course Lily's mom didn't want her to eat so much, otherwise she would have to use the air sickness bag in the car... wait... the car has no air sickness bag. BooBoo's right front paw had a little limp yesterday but today there was nothing while he was running around the woods. After coming back home, he started to limp a little. Maybe he's figured out that it gains him quite some attention from worried responsible people.

Random events

BooBoo thoroughly enjoys a massage... He's saying, "Yes, that's the spot right there."

Ginga asks Boo what's going on with the toy... "You are 28 years old BooBoo, too old to play with your elephant. Food is much better. Go eat?"

BooBoo: "Hmmm.... fatass took my toy!!! Just listening to him made me hungry. It was his evil plan!"

Ginga: "That was fun, tricking Boo and playing with the elephant. Now I'm tired. Zzzz..."

Boo: "Hmmm have to plot revenge... but so sleepy... I'll plot it by laying down here."

Ginga: "I have to protect... this is serious business... is somebody at the door?"

Ginga: "OK that was no threat, I'll just shake it instead."

Ginga: "Boo... nice arse, why don't you shake it with me?"

(canine) Heights

This is the long overdue post on the tag of heights from Rohini.


Height of bliss:

The humans leaving for work and forgetting leftovers on the coffee table. The hardest part is to NOT flinch until they left the room and then...it's free for all ! Especially great days when steaks were in the menus.

Height of cruelty:

65 degrees (Fahrenheit) weather for Thanksgiving, sunshine all around and no parks. NO PARKS ! Sorry I shouted but that's inexcusable. Thanks for nothing, humans. ;(

Height of Reward:

Resting on the couch or on the bed after a long day of jogging in the park. Pretending to be deeply asleep so that we cannot be chased off the bed.

Height of dieting:

Diet ? What diet ? We shall not surrender to any diet. when Mel Gibson's braveheart was asked: "diet of freedom ? ", didn't he answer: "Freedom!" ? At least, I think that's what he was asked but I could be mistaken.

Height of comparison:
Hummm.....Booboo: 38 lbs, "mid-thigh".
Ginga: 68 lbs, knee-high....

Height of rivalry:

Booboo decided to challenge me,Ginga, into my favorite game of "rolling-over and showing the tummy to the humans for massage", a.k.a the "whoring for cuddling" test-match. He is still a rookie but he is getting there.

Height of cleanliness:

Once in a while, Booboo decides to inspect my (Ginga) posterior for suspicious nuggets. Then, infallibly, he goes on to kiss everyone for celebration. Good times.

Height of Joy:

The Humans coming back from work (with cookies !), we are even to dance a little bit...sometimes.

Potent Ginga Farts!!!

Few nights ago I took gingaboo home to have a little dog vacation with them. I was in my bed nicely reading harry potter and booboo was of course laying next to me on his side of the bed and ginga was curled on booboo's bed on the floor. All the sudden ginga got up and walked out, pretend to check something out in the bathroom. 5 seconds later I smelled something like rotten egg mixed with spoiled fish and old trash. The famous potent ginga fart!!!! Even ginga thinks it's too stinky and left the room after he farted!!!!! Oh my sweet little ginga.

BooBoo birthday

BooBoo's aunty the Doc baked him a cake for his 4th (=28th) birthday:

The doggies and humans (except me because of the thesis) went to the park and had a good time!

OK where are the rabbits? If we hunt together we can get one!

And actually they did... BooBoo chased one out and Ginga went after it, the rabbit had a narrow escape because it got stuck in a fence until Lova and Sunshine went to the rescue (of the rabbit).

The birthday was tiring... now they are relaxing at home:

Doggies for diwali

Happy Deepavali to all from Ginga and BooBoo... they also joined in the festivities by going to the park and pretending to be the sphinx (booboo) and putting on an aerial display (ginga):
