Blanket of Love

BooBoo loves his blanket, sometimes inappropriately, but does not enjoy it unless Ginga gives him a little fight for it. (He thinks the blanket is impressed by his strength.)

Blanket Fight

Ginga normally loses, but he uses his weight advantage to keep the blanket away from BooBoo. BooBoo barks at him to let him know that as the loser Ginga has to give up Mrs. Boo aka blanket.

Don't give up, come and play

Success! The vile Ginga has handed over the yellow maiden and BooBoo can enjoy the fruits of his labour.
BooBoo gets the blanket

Tired but happy!
Tired after the playing

update: Ginga and Boo wrestling for the heart of the "fair lady" (soundtrack: "new slang" the shins)

oh boo!! This is so cute. A security blanket!! Why doesn't Ginga have one or does he like Boo's because it's Boo's?

Awesome pics, Mosi !
@e,
A Ginga Blanket is on the way. However, I think you are right on both counts. 1) Ginga likes the blanket because he respects Boo's taste in many aspects of life :). 2) Boo does feel more "secure" after spending time with his blanket :).

HA! I had to laugh at your comment, "BooBoo loves his blanket, sometimes inappropriately." My dog Lydia has a somewhat twisted relationship with her blankets too at times! What is it about dogs and blankets?!

I never understood the blanket thing... and he doesn't even care how often it is washed, just goes after it with gusto. I was reading that there's a certain period in a puppy's life where they imprint on something as attractive, usually it's female dogs, but in the case of only dogs it could be an object.
The other explanation is that BooBoo and Lydia are smart enough to use tools :D

With you on the inappropriate love for the blanket. Buddy has an old table cloth he abuses in a similar fashion... pretty embarassing when there are guests - especially if they are not dog people

Hmmm...that's odd. I'll have to see what's up with my profile. My website is http://www.petsitusa.com/blog.

As for our dogs being smart...but of course! ;-) The absolute smartest!

I'm seconding Lova's comment! Very astute. :)
Ranjit, you are a funny guy. Thanks for the smiles!

rohini yes we've had that particular situation before. I can just imagine it, hilarious! Will Buddy and Beanz be taking a tour of the new house?

therese it seems to work now, maybe it was just google going crazy. I've been to your blog through Karen and PP's sites, so much useful info there, great job.

karen not used to compliments so blushing... but appreciate them very much, thank you.

Unfortunately no. Travelling with tme involves sedating them, putting them in a cage and loading them onto the temperature-controlled luggage hold in the aircraft - much to traumatic for all concerned
