Tagged - what makes a good doggy friend?

e asked us, "what makes a good doggie friend?" or alternatively, what will it take for the cat to be accepted in our lives again?

1. barks or miaows when we bark, who knows, there could be major danger lurking out there that we have to wake up the whole neighbourhood for at 3 in the morning
2. watches out for the humans when we raid the trash
3. brings anything she hunts outside for taste testing by us
4. hides when the humans bring out any food - even cat food, which ginga gets first dibs on
5. goes for long walks with us and convinces other cats that we are safe, when they come close we will chase them {evil laugh: heh heh heh}
6. looks guilty and stays in the front room in plain view when lova, i-mei or ranjit return and something's wrong in the house (see #2).
7. keeps the humans busy while we sneak out to chase rabbits, squirrels and field mice. we are informed that the rabbit-looking thingies are hares but we are sure they taste alike

we tag any dog who wants to do the tag, especially if they are cute, in which case we want to sniff their rear ends to make sure they are really cute... remember, you are what you smell like

1 I am Cleo, I don't meaow, I demand that things be done my way.:)
3 I am Cleo, I don't hunt. I let my servants do that for me :)
4 and 5: Dream on
6 Does looking guilty include rolling over and showing my belly ? Because I can do that
7 By humans, do you mean servants ?

best,
Cleo, Queen (sheeba) of the night and ruler of Vantage Point County

thanks guys, and good job cleo :) meg not sure if yours is a real comment or computer generated based on your link so this is my version of the turing test :)

Ranjit - I too often feel like one of those bots, because many of my comments have an identical format LOL -see my comment on this post ;)

ha ha maybe you should copy... paste all over the place ! it's just that the link meg taylor gave i couldn't see anything except ads... will delete it if she doesn't get back in a few days. howz the cocomment thing working out?

The Visitor said...

The cocomment stuff seems to give comments only if I or the owner of th blog posts comment. I couldn't see the others' comments. For example, on this post I was able to see only your comment after mine. Even now only 3 comments are visible on cocomments ?!

i think it depends on when you start tracking... did you start tracking with your first comment on this post?

The Visitor said...

No I had started tracking on other comments earlier.

Anyway it is working on other blogs. There is a problem in tracking when the comments page comes as a pop-up.

Mosilager said...

are you using the firefox cocomment extension? i think that's the way that it tracks other people's comments. for instance, if you login at the cocomment website, there should be a link to my comments... actually here's the link:
http://www.cocomment.com/comments/kalusha

there you can see that it's tracking comments by everybody...

Mosilager said...

yeah i had mentioned that in some post, so when the comments popup normally you can see a red "!" next to the Tags: option, if you click on that you can specify what it tracks... under site url it should be the main url of the site for instance "http://mosilager.blogspot.com" and under page url it should be the actual permanent link to the post, for instance:
"http://mosilager.blogspot.com/2006/09/tagged-what-makes-good-doggy-friend.html" for this post. the site name and page name can be anything, then it will track properly.

check this out mosi - its my cocomment page - its tracking other blogs! LOL

it's odd all right... not quite sure why it's not tracking properly on this blog... I don't have a popup or anything.

I think there could be a problem with GingaBoo's blog. The same problem is there on your cocomments page too. Is it a problem when 2 persons track the same post? so only their responses are recorded?

Mosilager said...

maybe because of the template... i'm using javascript for simulating categories... maybe the cocomment bot doesn't like that so it only tracks the comments that are directly sent

Cute post. I think Buddy and Beanz would only accept another doggy as a friend if that doggy agreed to live under the delusion of being smaller than them (they are miniature dachshunds...)

Mosilager said...

thanks rohini :) i'm sure buddy and beanz are all sorted out now with their huge house at your mom's... so they would accept the overlordship of the cat.

Rohini said...

Well, you would think so wouldn't you? But right now even squirrels enter my mom's garden with great trepidation...

ha ha so they've taken over a bigger kingdom... well dog will be dogs!
